A way back into the room.

Isolation can make ordinary things feel out of reach: meeting people, trying something new, learning a skill, feeling part of what is happening around you.

Amber Heart CIC runs local workshops and community activity in Northern Ireland to give people practical reasons to come together, take part and move forward.

Exclusion does not have one cause.

Sometimes it starts with loneliness. Sometimes language, disability, neurodiversity, mental-health difficulties, family circumstances, money, low confidence or a change in life makes connection harder.

Different reasons can lead to the same place: feeling outside of things.

Amber Heart exists to create another route in.

For people who need somewhere to begin.

Amber Heart is for children, young people and adults who can experience isolation or exclusion for many different reasons.

Activities are designed around the people taking part, including appropriate age groups and the needs of each activity. The point is not to put everyone into one category. It is to make it easier for people to join in.

See what we do

Built from understanding, not theory.

Sylwia created Amber Heart from her own understanding of how difficult it can be to lose connection and how much difference the right environment can make.

Her experience of isolation, language barriers and rebuilding social connection shaped a practical idea: give people welcoming reasons to come together, participate and find their own next step.

We are at the beginning.

Amber Heart runs local workshops and local market activity, with online workshops coming soon.

We will not pretend to have years of impact statistics or polished success stories before they exist. As the work develops, this is where we will show what is actually happening.
